Faithful Cycles: When Nostalgia Becomes an Escape

Real Life. Real Struggles. Real Truth.

Truth Cycle:

Old songs, vintage styles, ‘the good old days’ nostalgia sweeps through your feed, offering a comforting escape from present challenges. It’s tempting to dwell there, in memories that seem sweeter than today.

Biblical Truth:

While the past holds lessons, God calls us to live fully in the present, trusting Him with both today and tomorrow.

“Do not say, ‘Why were the former days better than these?’ For you do not inquire wisely concerning this.” Ecclesiastes 7:10 (NKJV)

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing.” Isaiah 43:18–19 (NKJV)

“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 (NKJV)

Quick Word:

Cherish memories, but don’t let them chain you. Embrace the new things God is doing in your life today.

The Truth Cycle!
A cycle is a group of verses connected by a common theme or life lesson. Just as a single bit holds a sliver of data, each verse stands alone in truth but when grouped together in a cycle, they form a more powerful and complete understanding of God’s Word. For example, a cycle on trust might include verses like Proverbs 3:5-6, Isaiah 26:3, and Psalm 56:3, offering a full picture of how and why we trust God in all circumstances.
